Instagram, Postal Pix, and All In

I love my iPhone!  I use it for everything.  Doesn't everybody?  :)
One of my frequently used apps is Instagram.  It does such fun things with your pictures!  My only complaint about it had been that there was not a good way to print them out.  I mean, I tried it with a regular photo place like Shutterfly or WalMart, but they just don't turn out right.
Two weeks ago I searched how to print them.  I found an app called Postal Pix, and it is awesome!  These are just a couple of the pictures I printed out, and I was so pleased with them.  If you use Instagram, you should totally try it.

For the last couple of weeks I have been listening to a series on podcast from NewSpring Church.
You should definitely listen to it!!  You won't be sorry!
The name of the series is All In.  It has been amazing for me.

Family Fun

We have enjoyed some great family time the last couple of days!
Yesterday morning while Chris was working, the kids and I got to hang out with some friends.  Coffee with a couple of my peeps while the kids got to play was lovely for kids and grown-ups alike.
While Chris had some free time during the middle of the day, we made the most of it!  We packed a lunch and headed out to find a park.
It was a little windier than we expected, so it wasn't a super long stay at the park.  We also ended up having lunch in the van instead of at the picnic table!  Oh well...whatever works.

Christian was freaked out about trying to climb up this ladder-type thing at the playground.  Audrey just jumped right up there!  The hitch is that she is so clumsy she has to be held so she doesn't fall and break her neck!

Couple of goons!!

Today we went to the zoo.
Last summer we bought a family pass and have definitely made good use of it!  The weather was cooler today, so some of the animals were more active than they are during the summer.
Lots of fun for our family foursome. :)

Christian was pumped about the petting zoo part.
Chris caught a great picture of Audrey's "pet and run" stance!

Scattered

I do actually enjoy walking and jogging.
When I go for a while without getting on the treadmill, it seems so difficult to make time to start back to it again.
During the month of January, I worked with Chris regularly enough that I didn't feel like I needed to be doing a separate workout.
Last week I started to feel guilty about not doing anything workoutish.
So today I finally got back to it.  Bleh.  It did not feel awesome.  I can tell it's been too long!
I'm gearing up for a 5K, so I've got to stick to it.

The last few days I have been trying to play catch up with my scrapbooking.  It's another one of those things that I really like to do, but too often don't feel like I have the time for it.  I have my regular book and Audrey's baby book that I've been doing.  Since we got Christian I have been on the lookout for a "baby book" that suited my needs for him.  Since I can't find one that I like, I decided to just make one.  So I've been working on that as well.  It's a good thing that we have a dining room table in addition to a kitchen table since one of them stays completely covered when I'm in memory book mode.  It makes me feel so accomplished to be crafty.

Last but not least for today...I hate potty training.
I really do hate it.  I had a terrible time with Christian.
I know- it's my fault.  I started too early.  Still, it was ridiculous.
I did not in any way look forward to this portion of Audrey's upbringing.  Gah.  It's so exhausting with the one thousand times of, "do you need to potty?"  They tell you yes but don't need to.  They tell you no and then you're chasing them around waiting for them to pee in the floor.
We have sort of dabbled in taking Audrey to the potty over the last few months. Today was the first day she seemed like she got it.  It was like, "oh, you wanted me to do this in the toilet?!"
Hate it.
When we were going through this before, I thought maybe Christian would have to start kindergarten in diapers.
He did manage to get it under control, but holy cow it took for.ever.
I'll be right back at it tomorrow, but jeez I will be happy when we are past this point with both of them.

winter fun

Yesterday and today haven't really felt much like winter.  That is sad for the plethora of sweaters/jackets/scarves I have at the ready for this time of year.  It is very happy for some precious little cuties!  Here are a few pictures  of our fun times together the last couple of days.

They are a mess!
